Retired U.S. Navy submariner with 20 years of active duty and one year in the Navy Reserve.
RETIRED DEPUTY SHERIFF
Served Glynn County from 1996 to 2011 with experience grounded in fairness and public safety.
SCHOOL SERVICE SINCE 2011
Former School Resource Officer and current Campus Monitor at Brunswick High School.
OFFICERS SUPERVISED
Served as a School Police Field Supervisor responsible for officer training and school coverage.
A LEADER WHOSERVES & LISTENS
Zarak Hasbrouck is a dedicated public servant who brings more than 10 years of experience with the Glynn County Sheriff's Department and his current experience as a school resource officer. His work in law enforcement and in our schools gives him a firsthand understanding of the importance of safe, supportive learning environments for students.
His experience working directly with students, families, and the school community has given him a unique perspective on the challenges facing our schools. Zarak is committed to listening to the community, supporting students and educators, and helping build a stronger future for Glynn County schools.
His training and certifications have included crisis intervention, civilian response to active-shooter events, law-enforcement instruction, tactical medical response, and protection of at-risk adults. Born and raised in the Bronx and educated in New York City public schools, Zarak has built his life around service, safety, opportunity, and fair treatment.
